As part of the Association of Interprovincial Consultations (in Dutch: Interprovinciaal Overleg Deze link opent in een nieuw tabblad (“IPO”)), BIJ12 is the implementing organization of the 12 provinces in the Netherlands. BIJ12 is located at Leidseveer 2 in Utrecht and is registered in the Trade Register of the Chamber of Commerce under number 27261712. BIJ12 respects the privacy of visitors to its website and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

BIJ12 uses YouTube and other social media channels to share images with its visitors and other supporters. As an implementing organization for the provinces, BIJ12 is regarded as a chain partner within the government. This means that an Information security policy is implemented with additional security measures. In the exchange of information with, for example, the government and other chain partners such as water boards and municipalities, BIJ12 protects all e-mail traffic with end-to-end encryption.
